Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted President Obama who called the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon “a political choice” that the country allows to happen over and over and that “this is something we should politicize.”
Cruz commented on Mark Levin’s radio talk show:
“Well, unfortunately that is the approach with President Obama on every issue, is that he seeks to tear us apart, he seeks to politicize it and it’s worth remembering he is ideological and he’s a radical. You know, as his former chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel said, ‘you never let a good crisis go to waste’ and that sadly is his approach.”
Cruz joins other presidential candidates who believe Obama would use this tragedy as an excuse to pass stricter gun control legislation that would result in taking away guns from law-abiding citizens.
