Obama warns Jewish leaders that without a nuclear pact, U.S. will have to attack Iran and terrorists will launch rockets at Tel Aviv and ram U.S. aircraft carriers
President Barack Obama told Jewish leaders Tuesday that if Congress shoots down the Iranian nuclear deal, U.S. will eventually be pressured into a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities. This act will increase terror against Israel as reported by one of the twenty Jewish American leaders who was present at the White House meeting.
According to Reuters, Obama said during the two-hour meeting that it was legitimate for opponents of the deal to lobby lawmakers to reject it, but added that a discussion focused on personal attacks, rather than the merits of the deal, could jeopardize the coherence of the American Jewish community and ultimately the resilience of US-Israel relations, according to Greg Rosenbaum, the chair of the National Jewish Democratic Council.
You’ll see more support for terrorism. You’ll see Hezbollah rockets falling on Tel Aviv. This is what he said would happen if the U.S. had a military strike on Iran
Rosenbaum said, referring to the Iranian-backed Lebanese guerrilla group and its long-range missile arsenal.
