Carrier Corporation, a division of United Technologies announced this week that it will close shut down their facility in Indianapolis and open a new plant in Monterrey, Mexico.
This relocation will result in 1,400 of its employees loosing their positions over the next three years, unless they want to move to Mexico.
A spokesman from this heating and cooling giant stated “The best way to stay competitive and protect the business long term is to move production from our facility in Indianapolis to Monterrey, Mexico.”

United Technologies Electronic Controls announced that it will move its Huntington manufacturing operations to a new plant in Mexico, resulting in a loss of an additional 700 jobs by 2018.
